Or a ho-hum . . . what’s the plan now, what’s going on with my liiiiiife, what’s next for me, ordinary Adrienne ramblings.
I have a rough draft due today for the next Mary play . . . which is based on the Ariadne myth. I’m interested in exploring Ariadne’s relationship with the Minotaur . . . and employing Theseus as a sort of psychiatric “hunter/hero.” I am also very interested in monsters/villians who turn out to be heros/allies in the end.
So far the writing is slow . . . of course I only need 10 minutes but of course my liiiiii-iiiiiife is a bit crazy right now. I find it very, very hard to concentrate. I am very, very stressed out . . . I almost crieded on the phone with my dentist trying to figure out what to do with my wisdom teeth.
Seriously. Want to see me cry? Just ask me to go see my general dentist to remove my bottom wisdom teeth. It tears me up right now just thinking about it. It’s not that my new dentist is evil necessarily . . . it is just that mocking patronizing tone he has. I was on the phone with my mom and literally started sobbing when I said, “And they want me to go to my general dentist to remove the bottom teeth . . .”
A regular toothpaste soap opera going on over here.
Is my room clean? No. Are my storage boxes ready for moving to my Dad’s house on Sunday? NO.
Did my roommates and I finish eating our Obama cake? Yes. Is my blog updated? YES.
Goober count: 2 for Obama, 2 for my dentist.
