SYNOPSIS:
A transgendered youth and hir mentally-retarded cousin fall victim to a game of love and loss in this short alt-folk tale. Based on the Appalachian tale of Pretty Polly and the songs of Will Oldham.
Music by Adrienne Dawes and Henna Chou.
CAST SIZE: 2m, 1f, 1 transgender
PRODUCTION HISTORY: like meat love salt was commissioned by Austin Scriptworks and premiered in the short fringe Frontera Fest 2007. Most recently the play was performerd as part of LSU’s Outworks 2007 Festival.
